Our public tours have no more than 14 guests, so there’s time for questions along the way.

Why we do this
Reykjavík Locals was co-founded by Elfar Tjörfi Steinason, who was born in Reykjavík and still lives here. He has spent the past 20 years in restaurants and entertainment, from waiting tables and cooking to running businesses. Reykjavík Locals brings that experience to visitors: the food we grew up with, the places we take our friends and the stories behind the streets.
Our guided food tours and walks open soon. In the meantime, Local Walk puts our favourite places on one map in your phone, and the Pub Crawl app takes your group through an evening downtown at your own pace.
Food tour guests also get Local Walk, our self-guided web app, to keep exploring after the tour.
