What to expect
- Five tasting stops at local places in the old town
- Every stop is a surprise: you find out what you taste, and where, when you get there
- Icelandic food and the stories behind it, told by a local
- Enough food to count as a full meal
- A web app on your phone that opens each stop as you arrive, with your photos and a keepsake of the day
Good to know
- Vegetarian, or avoiding gluten or lactose? Tell us when you book so we can check alternatives with the venues. Two of the traditional Icelandic tastings can’t be swapped for an alternative, but everything else can. If you’re vegan or have a severe allergy, please contact us before booking.
- We walk in most weather, so bring warm, waterproof layers and good shoes.

Before you go
Will I be full after the food tour?
Yes, for most guests. The five tastings add up to a full meal, so there’s no need to book lunch or dinner on top.
Can you cater for vegetarians and allergies?
Tell us when you book and we’ll check alternatives with the venues. Two of the traditional Icelandic tastings can’t be swapped for an alternative, but everything else can. If you’re vegan or have a severe allergy, please contact us before booking. The venues are independent kitchens, so we can’t guarantee anything is completely allergen-free.
What happens if the weather is bad?
We walk in most weather. If conditions make the tour unsafe we cancel, and you choose a full refund or a new date.
