I have read and accept the Terms & Conditions and the Participation & Liability Statement on behalf of everyone in my booking. I confirm that we are fit for the walking involved in the product we booked (about 3 to 4 km on the food tour, about 2 to 3 km on the Reykjavík Walking Tour), that I have told Reykjavík Locals about any allergies or dietary needs, that on guided tours we will follow the guide's instructions, and that only guests aged 20 or older will drink alcohol (everyone on the pub crawl is 20+ and will bring photo ID). I am responsible for any children in my booking.

This statement explains what we expect of you on our tours and what you accept by taking part. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions. It does not take away any rights you have under Icelandic or EEA consumer law.
1. Fitness and health
Our food tours cover roughly 3 to 4 km on foot over about 3 hours, and the Reykjavík Walking Tour roughly 2 to 3 km over about 2 hours, with some standing, slopes and steps. The self-guided pub crawl also involves walking between venues in the evening, without a guide. By booking, you confirm that you and everyone in your booking are fit enough to take part. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have reduced mobility, please contact us before booking and tell your guide at the start of the tour.
2. Allergies and food
You confirm that you have told us about every allergy, intolerance and dietary need in your group. You understand that:
- the food is prepared by independent venues in kitchens that handle common allergens;
- we pass your information on and try to arrange alternatives, but neither we nor the venues can guarantee that food is free of allergens or traces of them;
- you decide what you eat, should ask whenever you are unsure, and should carry any medication you need.
3. The ordinary risks of a walking tour
Our tours take place outdoors on public streets in all seasons. You accept the ordinary risks that come with this, including:
- cold, wind, rain, snow and darkness;
- uneven, wet or icy pavements, kerbs and steps;
- traffic, cyclists, scooters and other pedestrians;
- busy venues and the normal risks of eating and drinking unfamiliar food.
Please dress for the weather, wear shoes with good grip (and consider ice cleats in winter), and look after yourself.
4. Following instructions
On guided tours, you agree to follow your guide's reasonable instructions, especially about safety, crossing streets and staying with the group. On the self-guided pub crawl and Local Walk there is no guide, so you are responsible for your own safety and route. The guide may change the route or end the tour if conditions make it unsafe, and may ask a guest to leave if their behaviour puts anyone at risk (see the Terms & Conditions, section 10).
5. Alcohol
- Alcohol is only served to guests aged 20 or older, as Icelandic law requires. Pub crawl guests must be 20+ and carry valid photo ID.
- You agree to drink responsibly and to stop if venue staff, or the guide on a guided tour, ask you to.
- You are responsible for your own drinking, your own behaviour and getting back to your accommodation safely. Never drive after drinking.
6. Children
A parent or guardian must accompany any child under 18 on a food tour and is responsible for the child's safety, behaviour, food and well-being throughout the tour. The person making the booking confirms that they have authority to accept this statement on behalf of any minors in the booking.
7. Photos
Our guides may take photos or short videos on tours. If you do not want to appear in them, tell your guide at the start. We will ask you before using a photo in our marketing where you are the main, clearly identifiable subject.
8. Our responsibility
We plan and run our tours with care. We are responsible for our own negligence, and nothing in this statement limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for gross negligence or intentional misconduct, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Icelandic law.
Within those limits, we are not responsible for injury, illness or loss caused by your own actions or by ignoring instructions, by the ordinary risks described above when we have taken reasonable care, by the acts of independent venues and other third parties (unless we were negligent), or by events outside our reasonable control. Other limits on our liability are set out in section 17 of our Terms & Conditions.
9. Emergencies
If you become ill or are injured on a guided tour, our guide will help you get assistance, which normally means calling the emergency number 112. On the self-guided pub crawl or Local Walk, call 112 in an emergency. Any medical costs are your responsibility or that of your insurer, unless they are caused by our negligence. We strongly recommend travel insurance.
10. Acceptance
You accept this statement by ticking the box when you book, or by taking part in a tour booked through another company. If you do not accept it, please contact us before the tour.
